As the first round wound down on Thursday night, it was pretty clear that Elijah Moore wasn’t going to hear his name called. The teams that needed receivers were all addressing other positions and when Rashod Bateman fell all the way to No. 27 to the Ravens, where I thought Moore might go, that pretty much spelled the end to the hope.

Moore might not be a first-round pick this year, but the talented receiver is going to make one team very happy on Day 2, likely at the top of the second round.

While he was one of the biggest snubs from round one, he’s going to have to fight it out to be the first Moore chosen in the second round. He and Rondale Moore are both looking to get drafted at the top of the second round and there really isn’t a wrong choice to go first.

But with Elijah still somehow on the board heading into Friday’s second and third round, where could he land?

Potential landing spots for Elijah Moore

The Jaguars pick first to open the day and after taking Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne, they could really bolster that offense and make it incredibly fun to watch in 2021 with the addition of Moore. Imagine a new-look offense with Lawrence and Etienne in the backfield with DJ Chark, Marvin Jones, Laviska Shenault Jr., and Moore at receiver. They’d put up some points.

If the Jaguars pass on him or pick the other Moore, the Jets (No. 34) and Dolphins (No. 36) could be the next teams to take him. The Panthers (No. 39) and Lions (No. 41) are also great options and as a Detroit fan, I would be ecstatic if he fell to No. 41 overall — I don’t see it happening, though.

If I were to guess, I’d say Moore lands with the Dolphins or Panthers. I just don’t see him falling to 41 but if he does, the Lions better scoop this future All-Pro up.
