The 2021 NFL draft left many spectators and die-hard fans of all 32 teams shocked. There were several teams in the draft that made significant moves to address huge position needs as well as taking huge gambles to potentially push their status to a playoff or Super Bowl contender.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that the first three picks in the NFL draft were at the quarterback position. The way the teams adjusted their rosters to get these quarterbacks is surprising. It was a highly offensive favored draft as there wasn’t a defensive player taken until No. 8. There were 18 offensive players drafted in the first round and 122 total offensive players drafted.

While there were several teams that took a step back in drafting key players and position needs, there were other teams that had stellar results of drafting in rounds one through seven of the 2021 NFL draft.

These are teams that made significant jumps to becoming threats or even bigger threats for a Super Bowl title. Two of these teams made the playoffs last season while the three other teams were in the hunt until the final weeks of the season.

There are teams like the San Francisco 49ers, the New England Patriots, and the Baltimore Ravens that had stellar drafts but they were just short of accomplishing their overall needs compared to the other teams in this list.
