Just months removed from a second playoff appearance in three years, Notre Dame football is moving forward with a quarterback situation still looking cloudy.

Tyler Buchner looked great in the spring game, but many believe it’ll be Wisconsin transfer Jack Coan taking the reins from Ian Book who’s now in the NFL. Whoever starts will have a talented offense surrounding him and the outlook is positive for the 2021 season.

It’s pretty clear now that Brian Kelly can recruit at a high level and his type of players can get the program to the playoff, but winning games when they get there is a different story.

Vegas does believe in the Irish, however.

According to the latest odds, Notre Dame has the seventh-best chance at winning the national title in college football.

The Irish are tied with Florida with the seventh-best odds in the country which is around 25/1. Obviously, Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State are leading the field, but if you want to make a quick buck and you believe in the Irish, Notre Dame is the way to go.

Notre Dame football poised to make a run

The one-year stint in the ACC was good for Notre Dame as it found out what it would need to do to get back to the playoff and fought through a conference schedule, facing the best team twice and going 1-1. The Irish have the pieces, but they just need to put it all together again.

As long as Brian Kelly finds the perfect fit at quarterback, who I believe to be Buchner, I think the Irish can make another playoff run and when they get back, there’s no telling what could happen.
