2021 NFL Draft: 5 rookies who’ll eventually be Pro Bowl candidates
3. Ja’Marr Chase, WR, Bengals
Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow are going to be reunited in Cincinnati and reignite one of the best quarterback-to-receiver tandems that college football has ever seen. That is the hope that Bengals fans have after taking the talented LSU receiver with the fifth overall pick in the draft.
Chase was the can’t miss receiver prospect in a very talented group of receivers and gets it done with separation and physicality at the position.
Chase reminds me a lot of Tennessee Titans star receiver AJ Brown, who is one of the best receivers in the league. Both players lack top-end speed, but have great hands and make some of the toughest catches that you will see.
The Bengals are hoping that Chase and Burrow can get their old connection back and going strong and that should help turn both players into Pro Bowlers in the not-so-distant future.
