10. Zach Charbonnet

Charbonnet transferred from Michigan to UCLA and the former top-50 recruit found a great home with Chip Kelly. After a strong freshman season that saw him average nearly five yards an attempt, Charbonnet was criminally underused by the Wolverines last season.

Brittain Brown is back but you need more than one back in college football and Charbonnet is a proven commodity. Last season, he ran the ball 19 times for 124 yards and caught six passes for 41. The Michigan staff just botched the running back rotation and it cost them a really good player.

Michigan’s loss is UCLA’s gain. Charbonnet has 12 touchdowns to his credit already and he will easily add to that total next season in LA.

9. Jack Coan, QB Notre Dame

Jack Coan left Wisconsin and may have found a perfect situation in South Bend. He’s a veteran with a solid arm and a team fresh off a berth in the College Football Playoff.

Yet, Coan will have to hold off highly-touted freshman Tyler Buchner for the job and after a stellar spring game, that will be harder to do. Coan completed 69 percent of his passes two years ago for Wisconsin and according to 247 sports, he’s going to be the guy next fall.

We’ll see if he plays well to keep the job throughout the 2021 season.
