5. vs. Louisiana Tech (W)

This will be the Wolfpack’s third consecutive home game and will see them facing a Conference USA foe in Louisiana Tech. The Bulldogs have in no way been a pushover recently, especially by Group of Five standards. Also, the Pack will certainly be gassed following their Clemson loss. It’ll be a tough match, but I feel that NC State should be able to hold on nonetheless.

6. at Boston College (W)

Boston College has gotten some unbelievable hype so far in this current offseason. Because of that, NC State’s win over them will be all the sweeter. The battle will take place in Massachusetts, so the Eagles should be pumped for this game and play physically. But the Wolfpack coming off of their bye week will stun the crowd by ultimately dealing it a single-digit defeat.

7. at Miami (L)

Similar to the Clemson matchup, there is only so much to delve into as far as deciding who’s going to take this one. The game is in Miami, and NC State is coming off of what will have been a tiring win over Boston College. The Hurricanes will be exceptionally healthier than the Pack heading into this one and should survive by over 20.

8. vs. Louisville (W)

Louisville has a solid chance to take this one, as the Wolfpack will be physically and mentally defeated after their blowout loss to the ‘Canes. However, I just don’t buy the Louisville hype yet, especially with the Cardinals being slapped into an environment as ecstatic as the one that NC State will be hosting, considering that it will be their first home game in weeks.
