2. Jalen Wydermyer

Jalen Wydermyer is one of the top tight ends in the country and he will be the top receiving option for whoever the Aggies decide is the starting quarterback. At 6’5 265 LBS, Wydermyer is one of the biggest mismatches in the country and is as athletic as they come.

After having a breakout season in 2019, Wydermyer followed it up with a solid 2020 season, posting 46 catches for over 500 yards and being a top threat in the red zone.

I don’t think that it’s a crazy idea that Wydermyer is in a position to be the first tight end taken in 2022. I don’t think that Wydermyer is on the same level as Kyle Pitts, who was taken fourth in this past year’s draft, but he is a good receiving threat and I think that is what NFL teams covet the most from tight ends in this age of football.
