North Carolina State Wolfpack: Philip Rivers, QB

Haters can say what they want about Rivers and his legacy, but the stats do not lie when they depict him as one of the greater quarterbacks in NFL history, especially when focusing on the modern era of the league.

As of currently, the recently-retired redneck is in the top 10 for most career passing yards and was an 8x Pro Bowl selection. No, he never won a ring, but it was most definitely not for a lack of trying.

When my father, a Seminoles fanatic, is asked about what Rivers was like throughout his seasons at NC State, the answer is rarely softhearted. However, it is accurate, as Rivers was a totally different breed.

While the Wolfpack saw no success in regards to being a title contender, Rivers was a 2x All-ACC selection, along with receiving some other annual, conference-based awards while leading them. So with all that, who needs a ring anyway?
