Sam Pittman has done a fantastic job in just one season with Arkansas football and honestly, he probably doesn’t get the national recognition he deserves.

While a 3-7 record doesn’t exactly scream “success”, the Razorbacks had just one SEC win in the three seasons leading up to Pittman’s arrival, but he tripled that number in just one season. He won three conference games and the last time that happened for Arkansas was all the way back in 2016 under Bret Bielema which was also the last time it made a bowl game.

Pittman has been active in the transfer portal and he even did it a year ago when he landed Florida quarterback Feleipe Franks who helped get the Arkansas turnaround started.

After already picking up six transfers this offseason, who else could Arkansas target?

Sam Pittman is an offensive line guy, so this one would make plenty of sense.

The Razorbacks have already added offensive tackle Ty’Kiest Crawford from Charlotte in the transfer portal, but Brandon Cunningham is more of a guard.

Arkansas might be set at guard for the upcoming season, but it wouldn’t hurt to add some solid depth with a guy who has some experience. Cunningham was a three-star recruit in the 2019 class and he was a key member in the offensive line rotation for the Bulldogs in 2020.

Cunningham appeared in nine games and started one in 2020 after redshirting in 2019 so he has a few years of eligibility remaining which would be great for Arkansas.
