Notre Dame football is building a really solid 2022 recruiting class and two more four-star prospects are now trending to the Irish.

Notre Dame football is putting together a top-ranked recruiting class in 2022. The Fighting Irish have 13 commitments already and are ranked fourth overall according to the 247 sports composite rankings.

Of those 13 verbal commits Notre Dame football has already secured in this class, nine of them are four-star recruits. And, according to the crystal ball predictions of recruiting experts, the Irish will be adding more four stars to the class soon.

One four-star cornerback that Notre Dame is starting to trend with is Benjamin Morrison, who is out of Phoenix and is ranked 288th overall in the 247 composite rankings for 2022.

At 6-foot, 172 pounds, Morrison has been gaining momentum as a prospect. Michigan was in on him, along with Nebraska, Florida State, Michigan State, and many others.

But with a recent coaching change at cornerback at Michigan, as well as other factors, Notre Dame has pulled ahead, receiving crystal balls from Tom Loy and Kevin Sinclair of Irish Illustrated.

Both predictions came with a confidence of seven on a scale of 1-10. But Alabama jumped into the mix with an offer back in March and if the Tide or other programs push harder, things could change. For now though, the Irish are the favorite.

Four-star WR trending to Notre Dame

On Tuesday, the Irish picked up crystal ball projections for Nicholas Anderson, a four-star wideout from Katy, Texas.

Anderson is 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, and ranked 42nd among wide receivers in the class of 2022, as well as 283rd overall.

Notre Dame has a pair of three-star receivers committed in the class of 2022, and they are 6-foot-6 and 6-foot-3. So the Irish could add another big wideout in Anderson, who picked up a prediction from not only Loy but also Nick Harris a Texas recruiting reporter.

In addition, to taking a June visit to South Bend, Anderson will also head to Oregon and USC, so there is still work to do, as with Morrison, but these are two guys to watch when talking about Notre Dame’s next possible commitments.
