6. Jeff Brohm (Purdue)

Jeff Brohm is quietly coming up on a pivotal season for Purdue.

Entering year five, Brohm is 19-25, having gone from 7-6 to 6-7 to 4-8 and finally to 2-4 last year.

Purdue clearly expects big things out of Brohm. After being mentioned as a top candidate for the Louisville job in 2019, Purdue approved a seven-year contract for Brohm which put his salary only behind Jim Harbaugh and James Franklin in the Big Ten at the time. He also had a top 25 recruiting class that year which has not exactly worked out yet.

As time goes on, their memorable win versus Ohio State in 2018 is quickly fading in the rearview mirror.

However, Purdue has remained relatively competitive in most games. Also, Brohm has decided to make some changes by letting defensive coordinator Bob Diaco go after this past season.

Given that Purdue appears to have pushed their chips all in on Brohm, a .500 record next season will probably be enough to keep him in place.
