UCLA Football: 3 potential post-spring 2021 transfer targets
The only non-Pac-12 player on this list happens to be one of the better running backs on the market as Oklahoma’s Seth McGowan is now looking for a new home.
And UCLA is looking for some backfield help after losing Demetric Felton and Joshua Kelley in back-to-back offseasons.
The fit just makes sense.
Sure, the Bruins brought in Michigan transfer Zach Charbonnet this offseason, but why not bolster the backfield even more if he doesn’t end up working out with McGowan? He wasn’t recruited by Chip Kelly and Co., but the Bruins would be wise to at least reach out and gauge interest, especially if he hasn’t found a new home by mid-June.
McGowan was one of the top prospects in the 2020 class, ranking No. 134 overall and he was the No. 14 running back, reigning from Mesquite, Texas. He played just one season at Oklahoma, rushing for 370 yards and three touchdowns on 6.4 yards per carry.
Every team should be giving him a call, but this would immediately solve the running back issues for the Bruins.
