Breece Hall. 4. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RB. Junior. player. 837

Heisman Odds: +3000

The game of college football has definitely evolved. When a sophomore running back returns after posting 1,752 scrimmage yards and 23 touchdowns, fans and media alike would be salivating at the thought of him gracing the field again. But now? He’s just another player. Playing in Ames for the Cyclones could be a factor, but I don’t believe in that argument. The game has changed, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore Iowa State’s Breece Hall.

In addition to already owning a handful of Cyclone records, Hall is the reigning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. He was named a first-team All-Big 12 selection and was the Doak Walker runner-up, too. More than just a compiler, though, Hall can score from anywhere, evidenced by his multiple scores from 50-plus yards.

In 24 career games with Iowa State, Hall has eclipsed the century mark 13 times. And in those contests, the Cyclones posted a 10-3 record. If it’s not obvious yet, a productive Hall is good for Iowa State in terms of wins and losses.

If he’s able to get in a rhythm and pace the Cyclones in 2021, Hall will run his way to New York City and the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Can he be the first running back since 2015 to win the award?
