3. JT Daniels-led offense

One of the great moments of last season for Georgia was being able to see quarterback JT Daniels make his debut for the team. The USC transfer made a big impact in his first game by going 28-for-38 with 401 yards and four touchdowns in a win against Mississippi State, becoming the first Georgia quarterback to throw for 400 yards in a game since Aaron Murray did it in 2013 versus Auburn.

In just four games, Daniels threw for 1,231 yards with 10 touchdowns and only two interceptions, while also leading Georgia to a 4-0 record and a win against a top-10 Cincinnati team in the Peach Bowl. His deep ball ability has fans everywhere salivating for what we will see from the offense in 2021.

Equally impressive about Daniels is his leadership. This summer, he brought some of his Georgia teammates out to his home in California to practice and work on other skills for the upcoming season.

Georgia has had its fair share of good quarterbacks under Kirby Smart, such as Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm. Daniels seems poised to become the best one he has produced in his time as Georgia’s coach.

Although Georgia will miss receiver George Pickens due to an ACL injury, they have no shortage of talented receivers on offense, with players like Jermaine Burton and Kearis Jackson ready to step up in Pickens’ absence. Not to be overlooked is a stable of running backs that includes Zamir White, James Cook, Kenny McIntosh, and Kendall Milton.

In today’s college football, it’s a necessity to have an offense that can score 40-45 points per game on a regular basis in order to compete for championships, and for the first time in the Smart era, Georgia seems to have that. Expect Georgia to run (and pass) through SEC foes en route to doing the same in Atlanta.
