Penn State football is on a roll in the 2022 recruiting class and here are five more recruits the Nittany Lions need to land.

When it comes to the 2022 recruiting class, Penn State football is quietly putting together one of the best classes in the country.

The Nittany Lions have 11 commitments. One of those is a special teams player, but of the other 10 position players committed, seven of them are four-star recruits and eight of them are ranked in the top 400, including five in the top 200.

While some Penn State football fans have criticized Franklin and his recruiting abilities, this class has two quarterbacks, one ranked 143rd overall, three four-star wide receivers, and what’s even better is that the Nittany Lions are in a good position to land more highly-ranked prospects.

Here are five Penn State needs to land to finish off what could be a top-10 recruiting class in 2022.

Four-star CB Jaeden Gould

Jaeden Gould is one of the top targets in the 2022 recruiting class for Penn State and just recently, his crystal ball predictions started to flip from Michigan to Penn State football.

That’s continued this week with more crystal ball predictions for Gould, who is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound defensive back ranked 153rd overall in the 2022 class according to the 247 sports composite rankings.

Gould has 10 crystal ball predictions for Penn State and he’s expected to decide this weekend. Michigan and Rutgers have been the other key contenders, but the Scarlet Knights aren’t keeping him home unless something changes.

If the Nittany Lions can win his commitment, it will be the first top-200 cornerback to commit to Penn State since the class of 2017.
