BYU Football: Who will replace Zach Wilson at quarterback in 2021?

The BYU Cougars are coming off one of their best seasons in recent memory.

They had an 11-1 record, won the Boca Raton Bowl against Central Florida, and they finished No. 11 in the final AP rankings. This was the first time BYU finished ranked in the AP top 15  since 2009.

Their quarterback Zach Wilson was the headliner of their great season. Wilson threw for nearly 3,700 yards with 33 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He would enter the 2021 NFL Draft at the end of the season, where he was taken at No. 2 overall by the New York Jets.

Having to replace a talent like Wilson will not be an easy task for Coach Kalani Sitake. However, the Cougars have had a history of producing talented quarterbacks over their program’s history, such as Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Ty Detmer, and Taysom Hill.
