Georgia Tech football has been building a solid 2022 recruiting class and here are three targets who could put it over the top.

Despite back-to-back three-win seasons, Georgia Tech football has been building a solid 2022 recruiting class as the Yellow Jackets have eight commitments total right now, with a trio of four-star recruits ranked in the top 300 overall.

Head coach Geoff Collins had a reputation for being an innovative recruiter when he took over Georgia Tech football. He had plenty of success with Temple and while things haven’t translated to wins on the field yet, a solid finish to the 2022 recruiting cycle could get the Yellow Jackets their second top-30 class in three years.

Yet, Collins and his staff still have a lot of work to do, especially at the quarterback position and that’s where we begin with the top three recruiting targets left in this class for Georgia Tech.

3-star QB AJ Swann

Georgia Tech football has landed a four-star running back and receiver already in 2022, but the Yellow Jackets missed on their chance to land MJ Morris, a four-star signal-caller from Atlanta. They made the final three, yet he chose North Carolina State.

That meant that the Yellow Jackets needed a new target at the position and that’s AJ Swann, a three-star quarterback actually committed to Maryland.

Swann is from Canton, Georgia, and is ranked 511th overall in the 2022 class according to the 247 sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-2 passer committed to Maryland back in March, but he visited Georgia Tech twice in June and on the second visit, the staff offered him.

We’ll see if the Yellow Jackets can flip Swann but they are certainly doing their best to make it happen.
