Alabama Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2021 season
By Dante Pryor
For the sake of sounding naive, the Alabama Crimson Tide is vulnerable. Alabama lost twelve NFL prospects. Eight were drafted, and two — Dylan Moses and Miller Forristall — were signed as free agents.
Of those twelve prospects, eight were taken within the top 30 picks. This is elite talent lost to the green pastures of the NFL draft. Losing players of this caliber is old hat for head coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.
Sophomore quarterback Bryce Young takes over as the starter for Mac Jones. Young is behind a revamped offensive line that lost three starters. The receiving corps and running back room are retooled as well.
The Tide also had turnover on the coaching staff. Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian and running backs coach Charles Huff along with others leaving Tuscaloosa.
With all the turnover on the field and the coaching staff, is there a team that can take advantage and beat Alabama? The short answer is no, not in the regular season at least.
Two teams on the schedule that could contend, Texas A&M and Florida, break-in first-year starting quarterbacks. LSU is talented but young and unsettled at quarterback. Look for the Crimson Tide to run the table in the regular season.
Here is a game-by-game prediction of the Alabama Crimson Tide regular-season schedule.
