Not many opportunities exist on the schedule for the Wildcats to have a successful season

When you are rebuilding like Arizona is, the schedule looks tough no matter who you are playing. There are not many opportunities for wins and it would be a shock if the Wildcats were to win more than three games.

  • Game 1: vs BYU (L)- BYU is reloading after a great 2020 season, but they will have more than enough to win this game in Vegas.
  • Game 2: San Diego State (W)- This is a big toss-up game, as I don’t think either team is all that good. but I give the edge to the Wildcats at home.
  • Game 3: Northern Arizona (W)- This might be the only game the Wildcats are favored in all season.
  • Game 4: At Oregon (L)- Oregon is the conference favorite and will win big here.
  • Game 5: UCLA (L)- The Bruins are primed for a breakout season in 2021 and should be contenders for the division title.
  • Game 6: At Colorado (L)- Colorado surprised last season and they have more in place than the Wildcats.
  • Game 7: Washington (L)- The Huskies are going to contend in the PAC-12 and will be too much for Arizona.
  • Game 8: At USC (L)- Arizona almost upset USC last season, but that won’t be the case in 2021.
  • Game 9: Cal (L)- The Golden Bears will have a very good defense and that is a bad matchup for a team that does not have a clear QB situation.
  • Game 10: Utah (L)- The Utes are going to bounce back in 2021 and win this one big.
  • Game 11:  At Washington State (L)- If there is one PAC-12 game I think the Wildcats can win, it’s this one, but WSU has enough offense to get the win at home.
  • Game 12: At Arizona State (L)- It won’t be as bad as last year’s 70-7 humiliation, but it won’t be close either.

Final Record: 2-10, 0-8 PAC-12

The Wildcats enter the season on a 12 game losing streak and I think they can break that early in the year. It is going to be hard to find wins beyond the game vs Northern Arizona and a 1-11 season is a distinct possibility.

Arizona fans need to be patient and hope Fisch can make things happen in recruiting and in the portal for this program to be a contender in the south division in future years.
