Texas A&M recently lost a four-star wide receiver commit in Isaiah Sategna who committed to Oregon over USC last week. While it was disappointing to lose Sategna who was one of the fastest recruits in the class as a track star, Texas A&M knew it still had some big names at the position on the board to fill that spot.

Chris Marshall is one of those big names.

The four-star receiver from nearby Missouri City, Texas, is trending heavily toward Texas A&M and he might just be one of the most intriguing players in the class. He’s a two-sport star and basketball was his first love but he’s ranked the No. 112 overall recruit in the 2022 class. What makes that even more impressive is the fact that he’s only been playing football for a year.

Yes, Marshall only started playing football as a junior, according to 247Sports, and he’s already the 13th-best receiver recruit in the country.

And Texas A&M is the heavy favorite to land him.

Marshall holds two dozen offers and Alabama, Arizona State, and USC are also high on his list, but after taking a trip to Texas A&M on June 4, the Aggies look like the clear front-runners.

Jimbo Fisher may soon add him to the 2022 class.
