Last season was a difficult year for all college football teams. For the Colorado State Rams, their season was hit hard the most among teams on the West Coast.

Last season, the Rams played four games in the first year with Steve Addazio as head coach. With the lack of preparations and team building for the season, the Rams finished with an overall record of 1-3. Their one win was a shocking home win over Wyoming, 34-24.

With COVID-19 now mostly departed, the process for the upcoming season is underway. The Rams are not looking to make any excuses for their .250 season. Addazio is looking to lead a more productive season of rebuilding and relevancy with the Rams.

The Rams will return several key starters on both sides of the ball. These are players, however, that have been part of a Colorado State program that has accumulated an overall record of 8-20 over the past three seasons.

The Rams have not had a winning season since 2017.

This season will be a big test for the Rams and Addazio. There will be no doubt that there will need to be some form of rebuilding this season. At the same time, this will be a good chance for the Rams to take a leap past the standard rebuilding structure and win some big games. They have an experienced coaching staff and an experienced set of players. Colorado State needs to show its progression and its determination to compete.
