Nebraska’s roster is loaded with players that opted to return for another season and chief among those is cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt, who returns after a stellar campaign that earned him Second-Team All Big-Ten honors in 2020.

Taylor-Britt isn’t a super senior but he could have easily been drafted following a season that saw him notch 28 tackles, three tackles for losses, four pass breakups, two picks, and six passes defended in just eight games.

During his sophomore season, Taylor-Britt forced four fumbles and has four career interceptions along with 11 passes defended. That’s getting your hands on the ball a lot and those kinds of defenders are extremely valuable.

Nebraska football did a really nice job of forcing turnovers last season and if the defense can do that again, led by Taylor-Britt, the Blackshirts could start to earn some respect back.

And obviously, guys like Stille, Taylor-Britt, and many others felt like this program was on the cusp, otherwise, why return?

In terms of talent and play-making ability, Taylor-Britt probably could even be higher on this list. But with the addition of former five-star Tyreke Johnson from Ohio State, the Huskers have some really solid depth, which pushed him down just a bit.
