These three players could lead Oklahoma football to a seventh consecutive Big 12 championship.

It is hard not to be bullish on Oklahoma football this season. Looking at all the teams who made the College Football Playoff the last three years, the Sooners are the only ones not breaking in a new quarterback. Last season, the Sooners won their sixth consecutive Big 12 championship and won the Cotton Bowl.

This season the Sooners want more.

This is the most talented team in Norman in a long time. The Sooners are the best offense in the conference and could very well have the best defense in the Big 12. Defensive coordinator Alex Grinch not only fixed the scheme, but he has also upped the ante in recruiting.

Spencer Rattler enters his second year as starting quarterback with the best skill talent at Oklahoma since the Sam Bradford era. Lincoln Riley will change the narrative that he can only win with transfer quarterbacks this season.

As Oklahoma football seeks to win an unprecedented seventh consecutive Big 12 Championship, the only question is whether or not this team is good enough to win a playoff game. This team is good enough to get to the College Football Playoff and win one game.

These three players are the reason they win a game in the postseason.
