It is nearly impossible to choose which receiver is going to have a big season. Even receivers like Jadon Hazlewood and incoming freshman Mario Williams are expected to have big roles in the offense. This room is so deep and talented; every receiver has an opportunity to have a big season.

Oklahoma has had great receivers in the past like CeeDee Lamb, “Hollywood” Brown, and Sterling Shephard. However, Oklahoma has never had this sort of depth at receiver before. The room is so deep that Charleston Rambo, who was fourth in receptions last season, transferred to Miami.

Every receiver in the room is an alpha that brings something unique to the table. Redshirt sophomore Jadon Hazelwood is the most physically gifted receiver on the roster, and that is not by much. Hazelwood is a blend of size and speed.

Junior Theo Wease emerged as one of Spencer Rattler’s favorite targets, tying sophomore Marvin Mims for the lead in receptions last season. Hazelwood and Wease are the big-bodied, 50/50 catch receivers, while Mims and true freshman Mario Williams bring the speed.

If Wease and Hazelwood are the steak, then Williams and Mims are the sizzle. Then there is Arkansas transfer Mike Woods. Woods is a veteran that can play the slot or the perimeter, who knows how to get open. Woods can get you eight yards on third and seven.
