Arkansas Football: 3 teams the Razorbacks will blow out in 2021
Revenge has to be on the mind of Arkansas heading into this mid-October game.
If you don’t remember what happened in 2020, the Tigers held a 28-27 lead in the fourth quarter and while Bo Nix was trying to engineer a game-winning drive, he spiked the ball behind him in what should have been ruled a fumble, recovered by Arkansas. Unfortunately for the Razorbacks, the referees determined that it was incomplete and not behind him (false).
Auburn went on to kick the game-winning field goal with seven seconds left to win 30-28 and Arkansas was sent home devastated.
The Razorbacks will host Auburn this season after Gus Malzahn was fired and Bryan Harsin is now in charge. He has his work cut out for him, trying to lead Auburn back to national relevance, but that’s not going to be easy to do in the year after the Tigers finished 6-5.
Arkansas wants blood here and Sam Pittman hasn’t forgotten about the heartbreaking loss. The Razorbacks will not only get revenge, but they’ll do so emphatically by a couple of touchdowns.
