Jimbo Fisher has to feel the pressure heading into his fourth season as Texas A&M football coach, especially since the Aggies nearly made the playoff a year ago.

When you get that close to the mountaintop, it’s tough to expect anything less.

Kellen Mond is now gone but the Aggies have a potential Heisman candidate in Isaiah Spiller at running back while the quarterback position will need to be solved and even upgraded. It’s not going to be easy, but Texas A&M has enough talent.

With a talented team returning, who could the Aggies blow out this season?

Disclaimer: I opted to choose just one non-conference game and no FCS teams.

Kent State is the one non-conference team I think Texas A&M will have no problem with.

Although the Golden Flashes went 3-1 last season in a shortened pandemic year, I just don’t see them replicating that type of success. They do return eight starters to one of the best offenses in the country which ranked No. 1 in scoring and total yards per game but the defense is going to be bad — like really bad — again.

Dustin Crum and the offense hasn’t faced a defense like the Aggies in a while and facing Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green, Akron, and Buffalo isn’t going to yield the same results as facing Texas A&M.

Texas A&M is going to put up some major points on Kent State while keeping the offense relatively in check like Eastern did to start 2020 when it held the Golden Flashes to a season-low 27 points.

This one won’t be close.
