Year one of Lane Kiffin had to be considered a success for Ole Miss football as the Rebels went 5-5 with a big Outback Bowl win over a breakout Indiana team.

Ole Miss won four of its last five games, beating teams like Vanderbilt and South Carolina by double figures. They lost to LSU by just five in the regular-season finale in Baton Rouge and they were oh so close to finishing the year on a five-game winning streak and with a 6-4 record.

The Rebels actually held their own against Florida, Alabama, and Auburn and were in each one of those games before finishing with a .500 record.

Ole Miss is on the brink and they could put the hurt on some teams this season. Who will the Rebels blow out in 2021?

Disclaimer: I only chose one non-conference game and it had to be an FBS team.

Tulane finished 2020 with a 6-6 record and the Green Wave aren’t exactly a pushover from the AAC, but they haven’t faced an offense with the explosiveness that Ole Miss has other than maybe UCF and they surrendered 51 points to the Knights last year.

Ole Miss is going to put up some points against this mediocre defense which ranked 77th in total yards allowed per game and 115th against the pass.

Matt Corral might just have himself a field day against this lackluster secondary.

Offensively, Tulane ranked 63rd in total yards but just 109th in passing which means that a young quarterback like Michael Pratt may have his hands full against an SEC defense. The Rebels aren’t exactly a dominant defensive team, but facing Tulane should just help with their confidence.

Ole Miss might honestly score 70 here.
