Nevada Football: Carson Strong could lead Wolf Pack to Mountain West title
Wolfpack offense is going to be one of nation’s best
Nevada has been known to have strong offenses in the past, but this one is going to be one of their better ones since Colin Kaepernick was throwing the ball for the Wolf Pack during their greatest season in school history in 2010.
At quarterback, Carson strong is going to be one of the countries best and potentially be a first-round pick next April. Strong was a very efficient passer, throwing for 2,800 yards and nearly 30 touchdowns, with only four interceptions. Strong operates the offense very well and I expect him to have a fantastic season for the Wolfpack this fall.
The running game was inefficient at times last season, but when they were rolling, they were a very explosive group. Toa Taua was the teams leading rusher last season and he is back for another season in Reno after rushing for 675 yards. The team’s second-leading rusher, Devonte Lee, is also back. This is the one area on offense that the Wolf Pack must improve.
The Nevada wide receiving corps is the best in the Mountain West. Romeo Doubs is one of the best receivers in the country and should be in for a huge season in 2021. Nevada is getting a boost with the return of 2019 receiver Elijah Cooks as well. Tight end Cole Turner is one of the best in the country and he really gives this offense another top weapon. The offensive line returns four starters and should be even better than they were last season.
This offense has the potential to be one of the best in the country and is an effective running game from being that.
