Rushing attack should still be one of the nations best in 2021

It is no secret what Air Force wants its identity to be as a program and it has brought them a lot of success over the years. Don’t expect anything less than an efficient offense that finishes in the top ten in rushing nationally.

The Falcons enter the season with the quarterback position very much unsettled. Haaziq Daniels showed some serious promise in games against New Mexico and Utah State, but he really struggled against Army, where he threw for three interceptions, and in some other games last season.

Daniels has some potential, but he needs to show consistency. If Daniels can’t get it done, look out for Warren Bryan, Chance Stevenson, Ben Brittan, and Jake Smith to get a shot at being the quarterback for Air Force.

Leading the physical rushing attack for the Falcons is Brad Roberts, who led the team in rushing with 461 yards and five touchdowns. To round out the rushing attack is going to be Elijah Robinson, who is looking to take over at fullback. Daniels is also a stellar runner and that is why he is going to get the first crack at the QB job.

The top pass catcher for Air Force will be tight end Kyle Patterson and he is back after pulling in 12 passes last season. Brandon Lewis and David Cormier are going to be the other guys that will look to catch that rare pass from the offense.

The biggest question on the team is going to be the brand new offensive line that is going to be upfront. It can be a challenge for a triple-option offense to replace every starter, but there is trust with Air Force that they will find the right combination.
