Air Force fields experienced and deep defense in 2021

Forced with finding new players due to turnbacks, Air Force shocked a lot of people by having one of the best defenses in the country. Now, with all of those players set to come back, Air Force is going to be deep and experienced and should have another elite unit on the way.

On the defensive line, Christian Herrera and Jordan Jackson are going to be the ends and Kalawai’a Pescala is going to be manning the middle at nose tackle. Jackson was on the 2019 team and is one of the team’s best defensive players. Herrera was is also returning from 2019 and that experience should help the Falcons have a very good D-line in 2021.

At linebacker, Demonte Meeks and Lakota Willis are two guys that are going to be back from the 2019 team and that is going to give a big boost to the defense. Look for Brandon Gooding and TD Blackmon to be the other starters in Air Force’s 3-4 scheme.

In the secondary, Tre’ Bugg is going to be one of the guys back from the 2019 squad, and joining him will be sixth-year senior James Jones IV and that is a solid pair of defensive backs to have in the secondary. At safety, look for Corvan Taylor and Trey Taylor to start and be playmakers for the defense.
