Tulsa has plenty of playmakers for new quarterback

Tulsa has been known for their high-flying offenses over the years and while they might not put up the prolific numbers of seasons past, this will still be a solid unit.

Of course, the main question that Tulsa fans want answered is: who is the starting quarterback? The favorite is Davis Brin, who did get some playing time last season. Brin threw for 268 yards and two touchdowns in limited action last season, but he is not being handed the job quite yet. Senior Seth Boomer is still in the mix and redshirt freshman Roman Fuller as well.

Brin is the guy that I expect to start barring some sort of late surge by one of the other quarterbacks.

At running back, Tulsa is going to have a familiar face back in the backfield. Shamari Brooks has ran for over 2,700 yards in his career at Tulsa but was injured before the season began and he was not able to play. He should be healthy to go this season and I think a bounce-back season might be in store for the Golden Hurricane running back. Other backs to watch this season will be Anthony Watkins and Christian Lovick, as well as Texas A&M transfer Deneric Prince.

Tulsa is set to have one of the deepest receiving groups in the conference and perhaps the entire country. Keylon Stokes led the team with 644 yards and three touchdowns last season and the other top receivers are back as well. Sam Crawford, JuanCarlos Santana, and Josh Johnson are all threats on the outside. Ethan Hall and James Palmer will be the main contributors at tight end.

All five starters on the offensive line return, including All-AAC member Tyler Smith.

This is a deep offense that could be one of the best in the AAC if they settle on a quarterback.
