With college football on the horizon, who should be expected to take over the Power 5 leagues?

The annual champions of every Power 5 conference (except maybe the Pac-12) each play a big role in shaping the result of every college football season.

With the slate kicking off later this month, projections will soon be becoming all the rage in the fan community.

As the past several years have indicated, the vast majority of playoff selections are Power 5 programs that succeeded in conquering their respective leagues. To say that their title is impactful would be an understatement.

With that in mind, it would be helpful to be at least somewhat prepared for what most likely awaits us all in the CFP coming this bowl season.

So without further ado, here are my predictions for who all will be clinching a conference crown this 2021-22 college football year.

Pac-12: Oregon Ducks

Right off the bat, we should address the guys who have no chance at sticking around with the true big dawgs of the Power 5, and that is basically anyone from the Pac-12.

The Pac-12 is pretty fair game, with Washington, USC, and Utah all expected to make some noise this year. Heck, even Colorado has been looking better.

But until further notice, Oregon is the team to beat out West. This is not only because they, too, have been consistently formidable in their league with recruiting as such, but also because they are the defending Pac-12 Champions.

Unless one of those other Pac powers has the toughness to step up, their conference is the Ducks’ world, and they are all living in it.
