8. Missouri

This road game shouldn’t be one of the harder matchups for the Aggies. They have struggled with the Missouri Tigers in the past, but things have changed since the last time that the Aggies matched up with the Tigers.

They are no longer sitting atop the SEC East and no longer have Drew Lock at quarterback. The Aggies are no longer struggling with a revolving door of quarterbacks either. Missouri now has a head coach that is only entering his second year and is looking to gain his footing while the Aggies have Jimbo Fisher who is entering his fourth season and seems to have things under control.

To put it plainly, I am not worried about Missouri when it comes to them facing off against the Aggies — even on the road.

7. Mississippi State

Mississippi State has been a problem for Texas A&M football in the past, but I don’t see that happening this season. Mike Leach is in his second year and last year didn’t exactly go as planned.

Things were less than successful after an opening win against an LSU team that proved to be one of the worst Tiger teams we have seen in a long time. Now, they have a quarterback battle going on between graduate transfer quarterback Jack Abraham and Will Rogers. All in all, I am not convinced that Mike Leach and the air raid are going to work in the SEC and I’m not sure who leads the team matters in the long run.

This team will be battling with Arkansas to not be the bottom of the West and you can’t convince me otherwise.
