Chip Kelly’s time with UCLA hasn’t been as successful as he expected, but things seem to be turning around for the Bruins after a decent 2020 season. While UCLA finished just 3-4 last year, the Bruins were in every game, losing each one by no more than six points.

The Bruins were a few big plays away from finishing 6-1 or 5-2 and they could have a breakout season in 2021.

Hosting Arizona State will be a huge chance for the Bruins to prove themselves and I think they’ll do just that, taking down the Sun Devils for their first loss of the 2021 campaign.

Final Score: Arizona State 23, UCLA 31 (4-1, 1-1)

I see David Shaw and the Cardinal building off the momentum built from the 2020 season in which they started 0-2 and finished with four straight wins. Stanford bounced back and I think that carries over into this season.

Unfortunately, they’ll run into the buzzsaw that is Arizona State at the beginning of October which will cap off a really tough start to the season. Actually, the Cardinal have one of the toughest schedules in the country with Kansas State, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Arizona State, Washington, Utah, and Notre Dame all waiting for their chance to take them on.

Arizona State will take advantage of a battered and beaten team here in Week 6.

Final Score: Stanford 21, Arizona State 27 (5-1, 2-1)
