Clay Helton’s time with USC may be running down but the Trojans have enough talent to potentially keep him around for another year or two.

The Trojans could be a Pac-12 contender yet again in 2021 and I think they could come into the desert and steal a win from the Sun Devils. This will be one of the better quarterback duels in the country this season as Jayden Daniels and Kedon Slovis will square off in Tempe but the Trojan star gets the last laugh.

Arizona State will be up 28-27 until the final minute, but a touchdown pass from Slovis to Drake London closes the door, handing the Sun Devils their third loss in five games.

Final Score: USC 34, Arizona State 28 (6-3, 3-3)

Things won’t get much easier for the Sun Devils in Week 11 as they travel to Seattle to face one of the contenders in the Pac-12 in Washington. The Huskies technically won the North last season but had to surrender their spot in the Pac-12 title game to Oregon because of COVID-19 issues in the locker room.

Washington could be right in the thick of the race at this point in the year and the Huskies will ned a win here. They’ll get one in an instant classic.

After a 5-1 start to the season, the Sun Devils fall to 6-4 and have a losing record in Pac-12 play. Not an ideal stretch for Herm Edwards.

Final Score: Arizona State 17, Washington 21 (6-4, 3-4)
