Sam Pittman’s first season with Arkansas football can be considered a success because he turned the Razorbacks around from an irrelevant SEC bottom-dweller to a three-win team. That may not seem like much, but when you take over a program that has no conference wins in two years and then win three SEC games with them, you immediately earn respect.

The hype surrounding Pittman is real because not many coaches can do what he did in such a short period of time and I think that we’re going to see even more growth from Arkansas in 2021.

The Razorbacks won three conference games in 2020, but that number could have easily been six if not for a controversial loss against Auburn (it should have been a win), a three-point home loss to LSU, and a two-point road loss to Missouri. The Razorbacks were a play or two away in each of those games.

Heck, if the ball bounces the right way (quite literally with Auburn), we could be talking about a Pittman-coached team coming off a 6-4 season. He would be a coach of the year candidate.

A 3-7 record was just fine with everyone considering the circumstances and the fact that the Razorbacks were much more fun and exciting to watch in 2020 than they were in 2018 and 2019 combined. Chad Morris did a number on this program after Bret Bielema.

Will the Razorbacks find themselves in a bowl game in 2021 for the first time since 2016? Let’s predict each game and find out.
