Mike Leach’s first season with Mississippi State didn’t exactly go as planned as the Bulldogs finished 4-7 and had one of the worst offenses in the country. They did have the No. 20 passing offense in the country but were 104th in total yards, 109th in scoring, and 127th in rushing. Long story short, improvement is needed on that side of the ball in 2021.

I think Mississippi State will still have somewhat of an identity crisis without a true gunslinger under center but Will Rogers could surprise people.

However, I just don’t think the Bulldogs have what it takes to beat a suddenly hot Arkansas team on the road.

Final Score: Mississippi State 20, Arkansas 28 (5-4, 2-3)

Riding a three-game winning streak, Arkansas will take a trip to Baton Rouge for a big November battle with LSU. The Razorbacks remember nearly pulling off a win over LSU last season, but this year’s Tigers team is going to be much better, in my opinion.

People are already overlooking LSU because of that nightmarish 2020 season, but they did finish strong with two straight wins to close the year and Myles Brennan was hurt all season after a hot start. I expect a big bounce-back from the 2019 national champs and unfortunately, Arkansas will feel the wrath of their comeback tour.

Final Score: Arkansas 24, LSU 38 (5-5, 2-4)
