These are my overdue preseason rankings for the 2021-22 college football season coming up in just two weeks (with final record projections included).

College Football is right around the corner, and most folks have released their official preseason rankings as a result.

So in response to being behind schedule enough as it is, we are just going to dive right in. Here are my official preseason rankings for the rapidly approaching 2021-22 CFB year.

#25: San Jose State Spartans (9-3)

SJSU won the Mountain West Conference title last season, and to say that doing so is odd behavior on their part would be a massive understatement.

Assuming that they will still be a contender in the MWC for 2021, a final regular-season record of 9-3 should not seem too far out of reach.

However, if the Spartans are to take the conference crown once again, they will most likely be the only team from said league to be represented in any rankings (in the long run).

#24: Indiana Hoosiers (8-4)

Similar to the Spartans, IU had a pleasant surprise in 2020, being one of the better teams in the Big Ten Conference.

However, the similarities between the two do not stop there; both 2020 performances could definitely have been flukes. If such was not the case for the Hoosiers, eight wins or so should not be unobtainable this Fall.

#23: Utah Utes (8-4)

Like several other teams last year, the Utes had a slow start followed by a strong finish. Their recruiting has been decent (by their standards), and the offense will be led by Baylor transfer Charlie Brewer.

This is all without mentioning that veteran head coach Kyle Whittingham and his staff account for one of the best sidelines in the Pac-12.

Speaking of the Pac-12, it is the weakest Power 5 conference as of currently, and Utah has cooked in it over the past several seasons; 2021 should be no different.
