SEC football likes to say that “it just means more” compared to other conferences. Fans are left to contemplate the numerous possibilities that this motto might entail, but there’s little doubt that the league has put the best product on the football field for quite some time now.
Since the College Football Playoff Committee has emphasized a quality win as a great way to advance to the national semifinal for the eighth postseason, the nation’s top football programs will now, from time to time, schedule games against each other in the early weeks of the regular season.
Several SEC football teams will face off against other power conference foes early in 2021 in games that could continue proving the league’s dominance.
Sure, there are still plenty of early September (and late November) cupcakes to go around in the SEC, but there are several marquee non-conference matchups against other power conference foes that could help shape the national title race in 2021.

Several other contests pit improving teams or squads with a 2021 makeover that are desperate to find a solid, program-defining win.
If any other power conference like the Big Ten or the ACC dares to say that they’re on par with the SEC, these are a few games that help make that argument. For the SEC to continue proving its dominance against the rest of the country, here are 2021’s most indicative games of the league’s strength.
