Oklahoma State is going to be the toughest test for the Broncos in the early part of the season and potentially all year.

The Cowboys bring back Spencer Sanders under center after passing for over 2,000 yards and 14 touchdowns last season and if he doesn’t live up to expectations, there’s always talented sophomore Shane Illingworth. Chuba Hubbard is gone, but the Cowboys always find a way to develop talented skill position players.

Boise State hangs tough in this one, but Oklahoma State gets the last laugh.

Final Score: Oklahoma State 35, Boise State 24 (1-2)

Blake Anderson is tasked with leading Utah State back to relevance which will be tough considering the 2020 season was a disaster as the Aggies finished 1-5.

Hosting Boise State will be the perfect opportunity for the first-year coach to pull off a signature win over a possibly ranked team, but there’s just not enough talent here to keep up with the Broncos.

Utah State had the No. 120 defense and No. 123 offense a year ago and it won’t magically be fixed overnight.

Final Score: Boise State 31, Utah State 16 (2-2, 1-0 Mountain West)
