Carson Strong is one of the top quarterbacks in the Group of Five and he’s going to help Nevada challenge for the Mountain West title, especially after an impressive 7-2 season.

Nevada may have one of the sneakiest teams in the conference and if the Wolf Pack build off the 2020 season, we may be talking about them being this year’s San Jose State. The No. 30 offense and No. 42 defense returns 19 starters so this one won’t be a cakewalk.

Boise State pulls this one out, but just barely.

Final Score: Nevada 27, Boise State 31 (3-2, 2-0)

I think BYU is going to take a step back this season but if Baylor Romney is more than just a placeholder after the Zach Wilson era, the Cougars could be dangerous again.

Kalani Sitake is coming off his best season as head coach and there are some solid building blocks in place, but I just don’t think the offensive firepower from 2020 will be replicated. Still, the Cougars will be good enough to pull off a big win over Boise State and Provo is a tough place to play.

Final Score: Boise State 31, BYU 34 (3-3)
