New Mexico started the 2020 season 0-5 and won the final two games over Wyoming and Fresno State to head into the offseason with some momentum.

The Lobos had the No. 64 offense in the country and return seven starters but Terry Wilson has transferred in from Kentucky which may provide a major upgrade at the position. The offense should be just as good, if not better, in 2021 but the defense has a lot of work to do in order to be better than its No. 101 ranking last year.

The defense won’t be able to slow down an electric Boise State offense in Week 12.

Final Score: New Mexico 13, Boise State 34 (8-3, 7-0)

To close out the regular season, Boise State will travel to San Diego to face a decent Aztecs team that finished 4-4 a year ago. They were 3-1 a year ago, but finished with a 1-3 record in the final four games and they only return five starters to a mediocre offense which is a cause for concern in this one.

Defensively, the Aztecs are as stingy as they come, bringing back the No. 1 defense in the Mountain West from a year ago.

This one will be close, but the possibility of finishing 8-0 in Mountain West play will drive the Broncos to a big win.

Final Score: Boise State 24, San Diego State 20 (9-3, 8-0)
