As long as Gary Patterson is the head coach at TCU, you can never count out the Horned Frogs. They’ll have one mediocre season and then follow it up with a 9-10 win campaign. They’re just never out of the conversation and I think that they built some solid momentum in 2020 with a 6-4 record.

Max Duggan is back at quarterback and I think the Horned Frogs are going to be one of the few surprise teams in the conference. I’m not talking about Big 12 title contention, but at least 8-9 wins this season and ruining some championship aspirations.

Duggan will do just enough to topple Baylor here in Fort Worth.

Final Score: Baylor 20, TCU 24 (5-4, 2-4)

Oklahoma will open the season as one of the top 3-4 teams in the country, and for good reason. But the rest of the Big 12 will be putting a massive target on the Sooners’ backs not only because they’re going to be the conference’s favorite to make the playoff but also because they turned their backs on the league, opting to join the SEC in the near future.

Lincoln Riley is only worried about the season in front of him and winning yet another Big 12 title and he’ll be favored to do just that with potential No. 1 draft prospect Spencer Rattler at quarterback.

Let’s face it, this Oklahoma offense will be quite unfair in 2021.

Final Score: Oklahoma 37, Baylor 20 (5-5, 2-5)
