Best-case scenario

Honestly, I could see the best-case scenario taking place.

If KJ Jefferson lives up to expectations and Trey Knox continues to be one of the best receivers in the conference, we could see this offense improve drastically. Plus, the defense can’t get much worse than 106th like it was last season.

Let’s look at what would happen in the best case.

Arkansas will beat Rice in the opener and upset Texas in a huge Week 2 battle before ending the September non-conference games with a 3-0 record. The Razorbacks will then lose to Texas A&M and Georgia before pulling out a big win at Ole Miss and then taking down Auburn back in Fayetteville. They’ll add two more wins over Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Mississippi State.

Riding their longest winning streak in years, Arkansas will head into a mid-November battle with LSU with some newfound confidence. The Razorbacks will keep it close, but ultimately fall on the road and then Alabama will have its way with Arkansas the following week.

Arkansas will close the season with a win over Missouri, finishing with an eight-win season which would be a massive victory for Sam Pittman.

Best case: 8-4, 4-4 SEC
