Most likely scenario

I truly think Arkansas is a bowl team. They may fall a win short in 2021 if things don’t go exactly as planned, but the Razorbacks have more than enough talent to make some noise.

Looking at the schedule, there are definitely 6-7 wins there.

For starters, the Razorbacks will beat Rice to start the season with some confidence before getting a tough battle with Texas the following week. They’ll keep it close but won’t have the firepower to top the Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns, losing by a touchdown to drop to 1-1.

Arkansas will beat Georgia Southern before losing another close one to a Power Five contender to start SEC play in a rivalry game against Texas A&M. That tough stretch will continue with a loss at Georgia and then a high-scoring affair and defeat at Ole Miss, dropping to 2-4. Going 4-2 in the final six games is going to be a tall task, but this team can do it.

The Razorbacks will exact revenge against Auburn after a crushing loss to Ole Miss and then add some confidence with a blowout win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff to get back to .500.

Arkansas then beats Mississippi State to record a fifth win and break .500 before losing to LSU and Alabama, falling to 5-6. A win in the final game against Missouri will be necessary to make a bowl game and they’ll do just that, finishing 6-6 with a postseason berth.

Most likely: 6-6, 3-5 SEC
