With one of the most talented rosters in the country and what looks to be a high powered offense, the time is now for Georgia Football to take home the title

It has been over 40 years since Georgia football has won the national championship. Despite being viewed as one of the top jobs in college football, the Bulldogs have been unable to have that breakthrough that they want.

They were close in 2017, but came up short in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against Alabama and came up short in the SEC title game against the Crimson Tide the next season. The thought has been that Georgia was an elite QB away from getting to where it wants and it appears that the Bulldogs have found their man in JT Daniels.

Daniels only started four games last season, as he was recovering from an ACL tear that he suffered while he was the quarterback at USC. In his first start, Daniels threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns, and the potential was clearly seen.

Daniels has the ability to push the ball down the field and that has been something that has been missing from Georgia’s offense since Kirby Smart took over as head coach in 2016.

There seems to be some pressure mounting on Smart to deliver on winning a championship in Athens. Georgia has as much talent as any team in the country, including programs like Alabama, Ohio State, and Clemson.

The difference between Georgia and those other schools is that they make the CFP with regularity and Georgia football has a lone appearance in 2017. Now that the Bulldogs seem to have adjusted on offense and their defense should still be one of the nation’s elite, the time is now for Smart to deliver and bring home the national championship.
