Bulldogs are stacked at every position on offense in 2021

During Smart’s time in Athens, Georgia has been content to control the ball on offense and have an elite running game, and do just enough through the air.

That philosophy has changed with last year’s hiring of Todd Monken and the ascension of Daniels at quarterback. The Dawgs are going to have the ability to air the football out and they should be dynamic this season.

Much has been made of Daniels and how important he is to Georgia, but it is hard to overstate it. Daniels threw for over 1,200 yards in only four games and he transformed the Bulldog’s offense. Daniels’s only concern is potential injury. He has had knee injuries in the past and the depth behind him is questionable right now. Daniels is as talented as any quarterback in the country and he has a chance to really shine in 2021.

At running back, Georgia has a good mixture of talent and experience coming back this season. Whether it is Zamir White, James Cook, Kendall Milton, or Kenny McIntosh, Georgia can attack opponents in many different ways. White brings the power running, Cook is electric and quick with the ball in his hands, and both Milton and McIntosh can take it the distance at any time. Smart likes to have a running back by committee and he has the deepest backfield in the country to work with this season.

At receiver, Georgia is dealing with some losses due to injury and other reasons. In spring practice, star receiver George Pickens injured his knee and is likely out for the season. Transfer tight end/wide receiver Arik Gilbert is away for personal reasons and the projected starting tight end Darnell Washington injured his foot and is potentially out for the opening game vs Clemson.

The Bulldogs still have talent at the position, however. Kearis Jackson and Jermaine Burton should be the top two targets and Dominick Blaylock and Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint are both coming back from injury. Keep an eye on potential playmakers like Arian Smith and Ladd McConkey to earn some time as well.

The offensive line is very talented, but they are going to be missing some guys up front.
