1. There will be 1,000 yards combined

This is going to be an offensive showcase.

Although Andy Avalos is a defensive-minded coach, coming over from Oregon to lead the Broncos, his secondary is going to struggle to slow Dillon Gabriel. The Knights have the most explosive offense in the AAC and Jaylon Robinson is returning after catching 55 passes for 979 yards and six touchdowns last season which bodes well for their passing game.

On Boise State’s side, Hank Bachmeier is one of the best quarterbacks in the Mountain West and arguably the most underrated in the Group of Five. He’s capable of putting up big yards and he’s going to do just that against this really poor secondary of UCF.

Plus, both head coaches are brand new and that means that the defenses haven’t had time to get adjusted and the strengths of both teams from last season will shine through.

These teams will combine for over 1,000 yards in the opener, including shattering the over which was somewhere around 68.5 on WynnBET.

Talk about a barn-burner that ends in a one-score win for UCF.
