Things are starting to feel real. We are going to have a real, full season that will be, for the most part, normal. That is majorly exciting.

Will anyone be able to knock off Alabama? Will it be Georgia’s year? Maybe Texas A&M’s? Someone else?

I’m not sure, just as I was really unsure as to how to break down SEC power rankings for the start of the season, but this is my best attempt, starting at the bottom, which wasn’t all that hard to pinpoint.

This surprises absolutely no one, but here we are. I like Ken Seals and the Commodores. I truly do. However, I don’t like them enough to believe that they will do much of anything in the SEC this season. Will they be able to win a single conference game this season? I don’t think so, so I don’t anticipate them moving much from this spot unless someone is magically worse. At least the ‘Dores have baseball in February, right?

Yeah, this one was actually harder and it may make a bunch of people kind of upset to see a team with a new coach so low, but I just don’t see the Gamecocks getting much done this season. I actually have them at 6-6, which could see them move up in the rankings, but right now I am just not sure. Sorry Gamecock faithful, I just don’t feel the need to buy stock in this team so early in the season. I invite you to prove me wrong, though.
