After winning the national title last season, Alabama Football opens up their title defense in Atlanta vs the Miami Hurricanes

Two of college football’s greatest programs will meet on Saturday for the first time since 1992. Alabama, college football’s current dynasty, will face Miami, college football’s older dynasty, in Atlanta in what is one of the top matchups of the weekend.

Alabama football is used to facing off against big-time opponents in neutral site games to start the season. The Crimson Tide have typically won these contests by a large margin, with the closest game being between West Virginia in 2014.

One of the reasons why some think this game could be closer than the experts think is the inexperience of the Alabama offense. Alabama had three of the top five Heisman finalists last season in quarterback Mac Jones, running back Najee Harris, and Heisman winner Devonta Smith at receiver.

The Crimson Tide are replacing them with plenty of talent, but with four new coaches on offense to along with the new starters, Alabama could take a little bit to get going on that side of the ball on Saturday.

If the offense takes a while to get started, Alabama football has the ability to rely on the best defense in the country. Linebackers Christian Harris and Will Anderson are going to make life difficult for Miami quarterback D’Eriq King and a deep and experienced secondary will help slow down the high-powered Miami offense and set the tempo for the game on Saturday.

Here are the three reasons that Alabama football will beat Miami in week one.
